Asunto: [hrddwig] EU law on Due Diligence - Adopted by EU Parliament

 

Dear all, 

 

The European Parliament just approved in a Plenary vote the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) ! 

 

This vote represented the last biggest hurdle before the final adoption of the text. After so many years (and especially the last months) working on this text, this is a significant milestone !

 

In May, EU Member States will still need to formally endorse the text but this will be not be put to debate anymore ( we hope...). The law will start to be enforceable in 2027. 

We'll of course continue engaging together and informing you about the legislative content and process in the coming period.
