No sé vosotras pero el único motivo al que alude la ministra de defensa és que un estado no puede hablar y ofrecer seguridad si tiene que poner restricciones sobre aquellas armas que no utilizará. Es sheerly senseless!!!!!!

Dear Tracey!Just for your information, a draft resolution on Lithuania's withdrawal from the Convention on Cluster Munitions, which prohibits their use, has been registered in the Lithuanian Parliament.
National Defence Minister Laurynas Kasciūnas said that the issue is planned to be submitted to the government this week, and the draft on the denunciation of the convention should be submitted to the Seimas on July 11, 2024. The Lithuanian Seimas ratified the Convention on Cluster Munitions in December 2010.
The resolution was registered by Lithuanian Defence Minister the infamous Laurynas Kašiūnas.

In the past, Laurynas Kašiūnas was a member of the National Socialist Party of Lithuania and chairman of the youth organisation of the National Socialist Party of Lithuania "Young National Democrats".
Laurynas Kašiūnas became famous in Lithuania for his radical discriminatory legislative initiatives against Belarusian and Russian refugees, as well as for his open homophobic stance. In 2016, Kasciūnas signed an appeal to ban the LGBTQ+ Pride event.
In 2018, as a member of the Lithuanian Parliament, Laurynas Kasciunas invited representatives of the far-right German party AfD (Alternative for Germany) to visit Lithuania and the Lithuanian Parliament.
Kasciūnas also testified in the so-called MG Baltic political corruption case, in which four members of the Seimas have already been convicted. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
Also Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda approves the Lithuanian Defence Ministry's proposal to denounce the Oslo Convention prohibiting the use of cluster munitions.
